Tessa Armstrong, BMus (Hons), LCH Dip, Accredited Senior Coach IAPC&M

Founder and Executive Director

Tessa is an award-winning senior career and confidence coach and author. She has extensive experience helping adults and young people in the private, public, education and charity sectors with a focus on self-esteem and confidence as well as providing a systematic and pragmatic approach to the development of career paths and charity organisational structure. Having begun her career as a solicitor and charity fundraiser, Tessa founded her own business providing coaching services nationally. She is also a primary school governor and a trustee of Wiltshire Music Centre.

With a degree in music and a trained Thrive Emotional Health Practitioner, Tessa has a passion for using her skills to positively impact children’s development and wellbeing through music and other artistic forms. She has designed the Voices for Life concepts.

In 2020, she founded Voices for Life in response to rising mental health issues among young people and diminishing music education during the Covid pandemic.

Tessa has recently been voted one of Bath & Somerset’s Most Inspiring Women for 2025. She received the High Sheriff of Somerset award in recognition of great and valuable services to the community in 2023, was a finalist in the Founder/Entrepreneur category of the Creative Bath Awards 2024, and was recently honoured to attend the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace in recognition of her work.

Sarah-Jane Hayward, FCCA

Finance

A qualified accountant for over twenty years, Sarah-Jane has a keen eye for detail, and is responsible for keeping our incoming and outgoing finances in order. In her spare time SJ enjoys gardening, cooking and travelling.

Rowena Allsop

Programme and Events Management

Rowena has over 20 years experience in Event & Production Management, working with varied teams and performers. She has a keen eye for detail and loves to see a plan come together. In her other time, she is a creative and, most importantly, a mum.

Cristina Riveiros

Marketing and Communications Officer

Cristina has over 15 years supporting events and small organisations with marketing and now takes care of the social media accounts, email newsletters and press for Voices for Life. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, live music and spending time near the sea.

Will Ashworth

Artistic Lead

Will is a musician based in Bath. Primarily playing the piano, he accompanies many different choirs, teaches the piano and is the director of music at St. John the Baptist Church with St. Catherine, Batheaston.

Pete Corse

Front of House

Peter Corse is a freelance writer, children’s entertainer and events manager based in Bath and Bristol, currently studying for a Creative and Professional Writing Degree. Before joining Voices for Life, he ran two interactive workshops for the Bath Children’s Literature Festival.
