Inspiring children to be

through music …
The Space Between the Stars

The Magical Prequel to Stardust

Following the success of Stardust, Voices for Life commissioned an exciting prequel by Jools Scott and Sue Curtis, which helps children embrace change and new possibilities as they consider what it would be like to settle on an unknown planet.

The Space Between the Stars follows the story of a group of children preparing to head into space and find a new planet to call home. In lyricist Sue Curtis’ words: ‘It’s about the excitement and anticipation and fear of taking off and then zooming into completely unknown circumstances. Anticipation builds throughout until the final song, in which the actual journey takes place. It is when they have arrived in space and settled into a daily routine that Stardust begins.’

Project Delivery

Through weekly singing and wellbeing workshops, children will learn 6 new songs and follow the story of the young astronauts as they learn new skills and overcome challenges. They’ll also gain access to online music videos and resources to practise at school and home:

Schools resources

They’ll then perform together with others schools in a choir of up to 200 children at a prestigious venue such as Bath Abbey. It’s a great opportunity for them to showcase all that they’ve learned to their loved ones, and make memories they can be proud of. They’ll also be accompanied by live musicians and narrated by a professional actor.
